Laura is a writer based out of New York City. She’s written essays, blogs, nonfiction for children, and is currently working on her first novel. She’s been published at NBC news.
She’s interested in anything having to do with science, marine life (she’s a self-described whale enthusiast), climate epidemiology, elder stories, stories about intergenerational and extended family living, and making the events of the past relevant to the modern world.
Laura has her B.A. from Marquette University and an M.A. from the Columbia Journalism School with a focus on science journalism.
She’s a marathon swimmer and has swum around Manhattan and from Battery Park to Sandy Hook, New Jersey. She also loves analyzing film scores.
