Jiahui is a bilingual investigative journalist based out of New York; she has reported in the U.S., the United Kingdom, and China. She has written for newspapers, magazines, and blogs, and her work has been featured in the Guardian, Eurasianet, Tencent Guyu Story Lab, Columbia News Service, and others.
Jiahui is interested in social justice, climate change, business, entrepreneurship, and immigration stories, as well as anything related to China.
She started her career in her native China covering foreign affairs, technology, business, and social justice for The Guardian and Reuters. In the U.K., she interned for charities in Liverpool before moving to New York, where, in 2022, she graduated from the M.S. Stabile investigative-reporting program at Columbia Journalism School.
Jiahui loves dancing, swimming, and talking to strangers. She believes everyone has a story and it’s just a matter of having a voice to share their story.
