Fan is a writer and photojournalist based in New York. She has written for newspapers, magazines, and blogs. Her work appeared in Newsweek, Shoeleather Magazine, New Spotlight Magazine, Caijing, and Southern People Weekly.
She enjoys writing long-form feature stories and conducting oral-history interviews that focus on labor, gender, immigration, senior community, Asian affairs, criminal justice, and the environment.
She graduated from New York University with honors. She graduated from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in May of 2022. She loves wandering around with a camera and curious eyes. She enjoys staying in nature.
