Arlene is an award-winning New York City based writer who has ghostwritten memoirs in addition to authoring books, newspaper and magazine articles, and documentaries for both television and film. Her seven published books include The Prizefighters: An Intimate Look at Champions and Contenders; 23rd Precinct: The Job; and T.J.’s Story: A Book about a Boy Living with AIDS.

Her work has been published in The New York Times, The New York Daily News, The New York Post, the HuffPost, and many other publications. She holds an MS in Journalism from Columbia Journalism School and a CUNY BA in Literature.

Arlene is interested in human interest stories, true crime, sports, fashion, art, public housing, people with disabilities, and seniors. She has no cats.
